About Stuart

Stuart has been in the employee ancillary benefits industry for over 30 years. He started Saylyn Consulting after retiring in order to help his network continue to grow their business.

His 17 years at UNUM started in Information Technology and soon moved into the insurance aspects of the business. Stuart held roles in product development, underwriting, claims, service, project management and sales as part of his management rotation.

Stuart continued his career at CORE, a large case TPA, and CIGNA over the next 7 years. Promoted to AVP, he was focused on product development for Life, Disability and Absence Management. Two major areas of responsibility were in the planning and development of voluntary products and the integration of health and wellness alongside disability and absence management.

Stuart finished his corporate career at USAble Life, an ancillary carrier owned by 6 Blue Cross/Blue Shield companies. He developed multiple business strategies designed to grow both revenue and profitability. As SVP for Life, Disability and Worksite, he was responsible for P&L management with Products, Underwriting, Actuarial and Claims reporting into him.
